Year 5 Home learning

Hello everyone. Welcome to Y5's home learning page.  If you have any questions about the activities then please use the new email stclementsWA7@outlook.com with FAO Mrs Nevin and I will reply as soon as possible.

keep up with your reading at home, choosing books that you find exciting and pleasurable. Aim for 15 minuits a day.

Also keep practising your timestables using TT Roskstars ( copies of log ins are in your learning packs) or hit the button. Concentrate on ones you find most difficult. Maybe you could challenge someone else at home to see who is the best.

Take care and stay safe and hopefully I will see you all soon.

Writing tasks

Use these tasks to practise your handwriting and spelling as well as all the awesome grammar we have been learning in school.

Topic

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zxsbcdm/articles/z9tdq6f

Use this link to find facts about Alfred the great. You could design a poster,  write a biography or create a comic strip to show what you have learned.

Also look at the Anglo-Saxon art section. You could try and create some Anglo-Saxon inspired art of your own.

Finally, can you find out why the Anglo-Saxon and Viking kingdoms came to an end. Why is the year 1066 so important?

Practical activities

If your child has lots of Lego this webside has lots of great ideas of how to have fun while indoors.
