Personal Development

At St. Clement's Catholic Primary School, we are proud to support all children to develop social awareness; strength of character; acceptance of others; and academic confidence. Personal Development is not an added extra - it is woven through all we do. Through every interaction; every lesson; every event; every assembly. Our primary aim is to prepare children for the wider world so that they can have a strong sense of purpose and belonging, and so that they have the confidence to make their voices heard.

We have a well-designed offer that responds to the needs of the children as they arise. Carefully selected books help our children to explore different faiths and cultures and to learn about diversity among people and families. We are committed to developing the resilience of our children through a range of outdoor activities that encourage risk taking and trusting a partner. Many sports competitions teach children how to lose graciously and enjoy the win! Children at St. Clements gain confidence from the many opportunities for public performances, including poetry, dance, drama and music.
