Safeguarding
All staff at St Clement’s Catholic Primary School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our children. Through our policies, procedures and regular staff training we recognise the contribution we can make to keep the children who attend our school safe and protected from harm. Our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies are reviewed yearly and we expect all staff, governors, volunteers and visitors to share our commitment.
We encourage our children and parents to express their thoughts, feelings and concerns in an open and honest manner. Time is given to any parent/guardian who wishes to share a concern or seek advice. We recognise no single professional can have a full picture of a child’s needs and circumstances and sometimes it is necessary to share information and work in partnership with other professional agencies when there is a concern for a child’s welfare.
Our school aims to provide a positive, safe and caring environment which promotes the social, physical, emotional and moral development of each child, we always work with the school mission statement and school values at the forefront.
Key to effective Safeguarding is understanding that ALL staff are responsible for the safeguarding of our school community, however at St Clement’s Catholic Primary School we have a dedicated and trained team with specific safeguarding roles for managing safeguarding concerns and ensuring the wellbeing of all our children.
