Prayer and Liturgy
“For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them”
(Matthew 18:20)
Prayer and Liturgy is a central part of daily life at St Clement’s Catholic Primary School, giving children and staff a chance to stop and reflect and take some time for their spiritual self.
These celebrations happen every day for everyone, and may link to RE themes, morals or values, celebrations of the liturgical year, current affairs or something relevant to the children at a given time.
Prayer and Liturgy may happen as a whole school, class or key stage, and will sometimes be led by an adult but often by the children themselves. Liturgies may also take place outside of the school building, for example in our outdoor space or in church.

Home and School
Parents are the first teachers of their children in faith, and the spiritual life of our school complements the role of the parish in supporting parents in this faith journey as a family.
Pope Francis told every child to find a little time each day to say prayers, because God really does listen to our prayers; and that praying a little each day will make each of us a more spiritual & loving person.
There are lots of ways to pray, and there is no right or wrong way to ever share your heart with God in prayer. Here are some of our well known Catholic prayers, that you are free to use at home, if you wish.
